Babe Ruth Signed PCL Baseball PSA/DNA

Adorned with the Pacific Coast League stamp, this baseball showcases the signature of Hall-of-Famer Babe Ruth, arguably the greatest player in baseball history.  Ruth never played in the Pacific Coast League, spending his lone minor league season - 1914 - split between the Baltimore Orioles (AA) and the Providence Grays (AA) of the International League.  However, in 1924, Ruth and Yankee teammate Bob Meusel toured California following the World Series.  "Barnstorming," as it was called in the day, had been outlawed by baseball commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis.  Ruth and Meusel had been fined and suspended for their tour following the 1921 season.  The Babe never relented though, touring the West Coast that October of '24 and the Far East in subsequent years.  The Babe's black ink autograph is on the sweet spot and is clear and legible.  This item comes with a Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
